FGBOU VO VGAFC

FSBEI HE VGAFK - Volgograd State Academy of Physical Culture is a prestigious educational institution founded in 1960 on the basis of the Stalingrad College of Physical Culture. The academy status was awarded in 1996; until that moment it functioned as an institute. VGAFK is one of 14 sports universities in Russia.

The history of VSAFC goes back more than half a century. In 1925, the Stalingrad Technical School of Physical Culture was founded, and in 1959, the Stalingrad State Institute of Physical Culture was created. The first classes within the academy started on October 1, 1960, and in June 1964, the first graduation of specialists with higher physical education took place.

However, VSAFC is known not only for its rich historical heritage, but also for its achievements in the field of sports and physical education. Future professionals in the field of sports, physical rehabilitation and tourism are formed and developed here.
