Two weeks until the fight between Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev!

Both opponents have enough titles and trophies to their credit, and fortune pleases them with victories. The road to this fight was long, and many meetings Bivol and Beterbiev have been eagerly awaited. Bivol has held the WBA belt since 2017, Beterbiev won the IBF champion title that same year, after which he unified two more belts. But the absolute champion title is still only a dream for both of them, which is why the upcoming fight at the Kingdom Arena is so important. The light heavyweight fight was planned by Arab sheikhs back in June, but then Beterbiev was seriously injured during training and underwent a long rehabilitation. The meeting was postponed until autumn.

The contract for the upcoming fight does not provide for a rematch. Apparently, there will be only one meeting between the athletes. Usually, when the fight is so sensational and important, the fighters themselves try to include the possibility of recouping in the cooperation agreement, but not this time. The fees for the fight are expected to be truly impressive for both light heavyweights.

Bivol is still young, he is only thirty-three. No matter how the title fight ends, the Russian athlete will clearly continue his successful career. Dmitry's fans are waiting for a rematch with Saule Alvarez. Two years ago, Bivol nullified the entire legacy of the Mexican, who at one time beat such titans as Daniel Jacobs, Austin Trout and Billy Joe Saunders, in one fight. Since then, Saul has been obsessed with a meeting with Bivol, but Dmitry, it seems, does not particularly remember his defeated Mexican opponent, who is again recklessly rushing to the light heavyweight division.

Dmitry Bivol is the WBA light heavyweight champion. He won the title with a first-round knockout victory over Trent Broadhurst in November 2017. He has defended the title nine times in those six years, including victories over Canelo Alvarez and Gilberto Ramirez in 2022.

Artur Beterbiev, also known as King Arthur, is nearly 40 years old Russian He is the current WBC, IBF, and WBO light heavyweight champion of the world. Nearly 11 years into his career, Beterbiev remains undefeated with a record of 20-0, all 20 of which have come by knockout, nine of which have come in world title fights. He made his professional debut at the age of 28 on June 8, 2013, against Cristian Cruz. Beterbiev defeated Cruz via 2nd-round TKO to start his professional career off to a successful start.

Beterbiev became a world champion at the age of 32 after 11 professional fights. He challenged Enrico Koelling for the vacant IBF light heavyweight title and stopped Koelling in the final 12 rounds to win his first world title. He also went on to successfully win the WBC and WBO light heavyweight titles. His most recent victory came via 7th-round TKO over Callum Smith at the age of 38 on January 13, 2024, in which he successfully defended his WBC, IBF and WBO light heavyweight titles.

The favorite in the upcoming bout is a tough one to pin down. Both opponents are seasoned with experience, spoiled by resounding victories. The knockout masters will definitely amaze fans on October 12 with a beautiful fight that will give the audience a storm of emotions.
