Dmitry Bivol, a Russian boxer with Kyrgyz roots, is known for his numerous achievements in both amateur and professional boxing. He was the WBA-Super and IBO world champion, and also won titles at the national level several times. Artur Beterbiev, an undefeated Russian and Canadian boxer, also competes in the light heavyweight category. He is the current IBF, WBC, WBO and The Ring world champion. Beterbiev is recognized as the best professional boxer of 2023 by the Russian Boxing Federation and is ranked 4th in the ranking of the strongest boxers regardless of weight category by The Ring magazine.
The first fight between these two titled athletes took place in October 2024, and Artur Beterbiev won by a majority of judges' votes. Now Dmitry Bivol has a chance to take revenge and regain his titles.
