The long-awaited rematch between Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev will take place in Riyadh

Saudi Arabia continues to invest heavily in major sporting events, rapidly strengthening its position on the global sports arena. In the 2024–2025 season, the country has allocated more than $450 million for sports development, including generous salaries for athletes.

The first fight between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol took place in October 2024 and ended with Beterbiev winning by majority decision. There was already talk of a rematch. Artur Beterbiev, the undisputed champion in his division with a record of 21 wins, 20 of which were knockouts, and the holder of the WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO titles, is considered the favorite in the upcoming fight. However, Dmitry Bivol has carefully prepared for the rematch, taking into account all the mistakes of the last fight, and is ready to give a serious fight. If Bivol wins, this could pave the way for a third match – a trilogy of their confrontation. A rematch is always interesting because the fighters already know each other's strengths and weaknesses, which encourages them to take more risks. Such fights are often more open and spectacular.

All of Beterbiev's previous victories were achieved by knockout, leaving his opponents with no desire to repeat the fight. However, with Bivol, the situation was different - the judges' decision was not unanimous. Bivol usually wins on points, but his victories are always deserved and do not raise doubts.
